Highway and Transportation design
make up the largest portion of the firm's engineering services. Euthenics
has provided services on dozens of new and rehabilitation projects in the
area. In the past ten years alone, Euthenics has designed highway
projects in northeast Ohio with construction cost of over $100 million.
Major projects have included: a six and eight lane State
Route 237 limited access freeway and interchange with Cleveland Hopkins
International Airport and Snow Road; a roadway and bridge rehabilitation
for Huron Road, Prospect Avenue and West 2nd, 3rd and 6th Streets as part
of the Tower City Project; roadway and bridge widening and rehabilitation
projects for I-71, I-77, I-80, I-90 and I-271; and eight miles of four
lane freeway on U.S. 30 in Wayne County with a construction cost of $70
million for the Ohio Department of Transportation.
Euthenics, Inc. is currently pre-qualified with the Ohio
Department of Transportation to provide complex roadway design, levels
1 and 2 major bridge design, major bridge inspection, complex lighting
design, right of way plan preparation, traffic signal design, and construction
supervision/inspection.

| Bridges |
A cornerstone of our 30 years
service to the northeast Ohio area has been a full range of bridge
and structural design services. Euthenics has both the project management
experience and design staff to provide comprehensive structural engineering
services for a wide variety of projects. Services include the design
of minor structures such as single-span concrete slab bridges, prestressed
concrete box beams, culverts, and retaining walls in addition to major
structures including railroad bridges, continuous composite and non-composite
welded steel girder and steel beam bridges. Specialized structural
designs have included the design of buildings, drainage structures, pump
stations and tunnels.
The firm has designed major bridge projects for
the Ohio Department of Transportation, Ohio Turnpike Commission, Cuyahoga
County, Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority and the City of Cleveland.
Major efforts have included the repair of several bridges adjacent to Tower
City in downtown Cleveland and the complex structures and retaining walls
built as part of the $25 million Airport Freeway (S.R. 237) project.
Euthenics is pre-qualified by the Ohio Department of Transportation
for levels 1 and 2 bridge design and major bridge inspection. Staff
engineers have performed bridge inspections for major structures in and
outside the State of Ohio.

Water Management |
Developing simple solutions
to complicated drainage problems has long been a strength of Euthenics.
A wide variety of drainage and storm water management
services are offered by the firm. While a major portion of our drainage
work is performed in conjunction with highway and bridge projects, Euthenics
has vast experience and an extensive resume of project work on a variety
of stand alone drainage and storm water management projects.
Our drainage services take many forms. They
are provided as flood studies, the design of retention/detention systems
for storm water control, and master storm water facility planning projects.
Our staff has extensive experience in the following
areas: backwater modeling, detention/retention basins, wetland creation,
erosion control, stream relocation, waterway opening design, scour analysis,
flood plain studies and other specialized designs.
Euthenics has worked with both private clients and public
agencies in applying computer technology with federal, state and local
requirements for flood plain delineation and management.

Euthenics has been providing
engineering services in the field of water pollution control since its
inception, beginning with the $40 million Cuyahoga Valley Interceptor Sewer
Project.
Major sanitary sewer and pump station projects have been
completed for the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District, Cuyahoga County
and many communities throughout northeast Ohio.
The network of services provided include feasibility studies,
preparation of final construction plans, specifications, estimates of cost,
and providing engineering services during construction.

Knowledge and expertise in the
general area of traffic engineering and the specialty disciplines of traffic
signal design and traffic impact studies are among the technical strengths
offered by Euthenics.
A wide variety of traffic-related services are offered
by the firm. While it's true that a significant portion of our traffic
work is performed in conjunction with major highway, bridge and other transportation
projects, Euthenics has vast experience and an extensive resume of project
work on a variety of operations analysis studies, traffic impact studies
and signal system designs.
Our staff has extensive experience in the design of semi-actuated
signal timings; two, three, four and eight phase signal systems; the use
of passage and presence loop detectors; fire preemption systems; railroad
preemption timings, as well as mast arm and span-wire designs.
Our planning and preliminary studies experience includes
collection of traffic data, signal warrant analysis, capacity analysis,
level of service determination, analysis for the use of real time computer
masters with arterial adjustments, and other general traffic impact studies.
Euthenics has worked with both private clients and public
agencies in performing traffic impact studies.

Euthenics has continuously provided
engineering services to municipalities in the northeast Ohio area since
1972. Such services have been provided not only on a contract or
project basis but also as full-time engineers for the City of Brook Park
since 1978 and the Village of Northfield since 1985.
As retained engineers, we have designed and overseen
numerous projects encompassing a wide range of engineering specialties.
Work has included building maintenance and renovation, street repair and
resurfacing, pavement management, sewage treatment improvements, flood
control projects, and recreational facility enhancements.

Euthenics has supervised, coordinated,
and monitored construction activities on a wide variety of projects during
the last 30 years. Such construction services have ranged from routine
bidding/contracting assistance to provision of a resident professional
engineer on a full-time basis.
Our services include not only on-site construction engineering
but also office and administrative support. Support services include:
preparation of bid packages, advertising and bid solicitation, contracting,
shop drawing review, as-built drawing compilation, change order processing,
"constructability" reviews, scheduling, construction sequencing, inspection
and testing.

The majority of projects designed
by Euthenics involves utilities. The accurate depiction and location
of utilities is an integral part of our public works design efforts.
A wide variety of utility-related services are currently
performed by the firm. While it's true that a significant portion
of our utility work is performed in conjunction with major highway, bridge
and other transportation projects, Euthenics has experience involving utility
designs and relocations on a variety of projects for public agencies, quasi-governmental
entities, utility companies and private developers.
Our aggregate experience includes extensive final plan
work entailing data collection, surveying and locating of utilities, utility
mapping, avoidance, relocation of existing facilities, casting adjustments,
new underground and above-ground conduits and lines, securing permits,
bridge utility duct placements, structural supports, junction chamber designs,
special structures, temporary maintenance of service, and utility corridor
location studies.
By working continuously with private and public utilities,
Euthenics is familiar with the unique needs, specifications and policies
of a large number of utility companies in the area. Our personnel
are experienced and proficient in developing designs that minimize impacts
on adjoining utility facilities, thereby lowering the construction cost
of the overall project for all involved parties.
